PA Finder is a register of personal assistants (PAs) who are looking for work supporting people with disabilities or long term health conditions to live independently in their own homes.  

For Employers:

You will be able to access PA Finder service free of charge through this website.  You will be able to use the search function to choose the type of person you wish to employ - the skills and experience they have, whether they can drive and what languages they speak, for instance.  

The search function will then provide a shortlist of PAs with their profile.  This will also contain contact details so you can invite them to interview if you wish. You will still be able to choose which person you employ and they will work for you, not your local authority or Penderels Trust.  Benefits to you include:

• You can access a list of potential personal assistants 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
• You can use the selection criteria to ensure you find the right person for you.
• You will be recruiting a PA who has signed up to our code of conduct.
• Accessing PA Finder is free of charge.

Don't forget that it is still your responsibility to check the PA's references, DBS (formerly CRB) check if they have one, work history and right to work in this country before you offer them a job.

For PAs:

If you are looking for a job supporting a person with disabilities or a long term health condition to live independently in their own home, joining PA Finder will make finding the right job much easier.

PA Finder will be accessible to potential employers in your area via this website and will be promoted in your local area.  Benefits to you include:

• Joining PA Finder is free of charge.
• Potential employers can see your profile at any time.
• You can say where and when you would like to work.
• Being on PA Finder does not stop you from looking for other work or holding other jobs (e.g. if you work part time would like more hours).
• You can take yourself off PA Finder at any time (e.g. if you find a job).
• Employers' access to PA Finder is controlled by a login process ensuring only genuine employers see your details.
