About the Employer

Lady in her lates 30’s who is a wheelchair user due to having cerebral palsy and is registered blind but has a very bubbly and lively personality and is looking for someone with a similar personality who can take me out into the community so I can meet new people and do lots of chatting. I really enjoy long conversations and having lots of laughs. Due to my blindness, I have a very high sense of smell and hearing and communication is very important to me so I would appreciate someone prewarning when things are going to be done or happen. It is also important that I am listened to as I have preferences to how I like things done and my grandma is a very important part of my life, so she also needs to be listened to please. One of the biggest challenges I face is not being able to use a public toilet because I must be hoisted so my times going out may vary depending on the times you are due to work. You need to be patient and understanding and respect the routine I have but you will be required if with me at certain times to help me go to the toilet. My dinner is always at 5pm so it would be appreciated that during this time you could help with tidying of my room and any other household chores that need completing. I would also like someone that will do baking, arts and crafts with me and it is important to build a very good trusting and reliable relationship.
