About the Employer

Young boy who is looking for a support worker to help me to get out and about and have some fun. I am a very happy young boy who has a beautiful chuckle and a gentle nature. I love my toys and being with people, especially those that will positively interact with me and engage with me in the things I enjoy doing. I have delayed physical development and use a wheelchair to get around so you will need to be active as I like to go on long walks! I have learning and communication difficulties which can sometimes cause me to become anxious and upset and I can throw toys and hit out to express my frustration. During these times I would need you to stay calm, be patient and help me to become calm and feel safe by reassuring me and giving me clear instructions. I will need you to support me with personal care and help me with eating and drinking. I am looking for a support worker who is kind, with an easy-going personality and a good sense of humour. Also someone who is responsible, reliable, sensible, honest, and trustworthy. I live at home with my parents and older sister but I like to be busy and get outdoors so I need other people who can help me too. As I attend school this would be mostly at weekends (but not every week) and sometimes during school holidays. This is a casual post and available hours will be agreed with you in advance. A DBS check will be carried out via Warwickshire County Council before taking up the post.
