The post is to support an 11 year old boy who has autism, limited communication, non-verbal, challenging behavior and is doubly incontinent. He will require social support with activities either within or outside of the family home.
Support needed may involve:-
Social activities within the home or in the community such as going for a walk or to the park.
Support may be needed with personal care, toilet training and feeding.
Able to work on own initiative. Positive outlook.
No previous caring experience is necessary. You should be able to provide high quality care and support and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.
You should be hardworking, honest, patient, have a good sense of humour and be committed to the role.
Hours are flexible and can be discussed at interview as they are 6 hours per week 14 weeks per year. Days to be arranged.
