Aim: To provide domestic and social support to a woman with a physical disability, who wishes to maintain her independence at home.
My diet has to be managed and it is very important for me to eat healthy meals.
A full list of diet do’s and don’ts will be made available.
Support to get out of bed during morning visit
Provide personal care (including assist to use the toilet, showering, and comb hair.
Assistance with meal preparation and cooking.
Administer medication – to be recorded (lunchtime from blister pack
Assistance with housework
Support with laundry and ironing
Assistance with bills and paperwork if required
To maintain a good standard of hygiene.
Complete and maintain accurate timesheets/mileage sheets
To be flexible with hours worked, and cover hours of other carers.
You have a responsibility as an Employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You must record all details in the accident book
DBS check required- cost met by local authority
Good written and verbal communication skills
To understand the principles of empowerment and the ability to support in exercising choice and control
Ability to communicate with people at all levels
Ability to work unsupervised and with their own initiative
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience of delivering personal care
Knowledge of the needs of vulnerable people
Good listening skills
Good sense of humour. Knowledge and understanding of issues relating to people with a disability

Monday - Friday: 11:00 - 11:30 am, 2:00 - 2:30 pm, 5:00 - 5:30 pm, 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 - 11:30 am, 2:00 - 2:30 pm, 5:00 - 5:30 pm, 7:00 - 8:00 pm.
