I am looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to support me on social outings and with some day-to-day activities. I am not seeking a Carer and do not require any personal care.
I am a middle aged man who is almost fully wheelchair dependent. I have diagnoses of Arthritis and a type of Labrynthitis which both affect my mobility. I can become dizzy and have significant problems with my balance; however I have learnt to manage my symptoms reasonably well.
I am a well-educated man and enjoy discussions regarding all kinds of topics.
My two loves are creative woodwork and digital/analog photography – both of which I’d like to explore further with the support of a Personal Assistant.
I have two friendly pet dogs.
The main purpose of the role is to support me socially. I am eager to attend the gym and start swimming again, and would require encouragement and considerable assistance to be able to do these things.
You will be required to enable me to remain as independent as possible whilst also monitoring my safety and well-being. This could mean observing me whilst I carry out a task or completing the task with me, whether that be in my home workshop or navigating a busy supermarket.
Other duties may be required but these will be discussed beforehand.
The right candidate will be outgoing and chatty, and be happy to partake in discussions with me on all kinds of subjects.
It would be advantageous if we had some common interests however, an enthusiasm for new experiences would also be an appealing.
The successful Personal Assistant will be bright and open-minded, and we willing to build up a relationship with me.
Car owner and full valid driving license essential (business insurance required). You will be required to use your own car in the course of your duties.
Full valid driving license is essential as the role requires you to drive the employer’s vehicle. For insurance purposes, to drive my vehicle you must be a minimum age of 21.
Flexible – to be discussed at interview but potentially 4 or 5 hour shifts.
24hrs to be worked over a 4 week period.
