To provide support and personal care for a 19 year old female from Spalding, who has learning disabilities, slight cerebral palsy and low muscle tone.
This will be to provide support and mentoring with general day to day tasks, personal care and going out.
She enjoys shopping, karaoke, attending music venues and nightclubs. At home she will also require support to encourage her independence, doing cooking and to keep on top of general housework and chores.
You will be required to drive her to any activities.
Building her confidence and keeping her safe will be important.
Previous experience of supporting someone with these conditions would be an advantage; you should also have a genuine interest in supporting people. A female with similar likes and interests would also be an advantage.
You should be able to provide high quality care and support and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.
You should be hardworking, reliable, honest, patient and be committed to the role
Being a driver and full use of your own vehicle is essential.
Flexibility would be an advantage as the hours will be variable – this will be discussed at the interview.
A DBS check will be required for this position.
Usually on either Wednesday or Friday days or evenings as required
