To support a 26 year old male with a number of health conditions, he has a learning disability, lennox gastaut syndrome epilepsy so is prone to severe seizures, he is non weight bearing and wheelchair user whilst out and about, although this is improving so may weight bear and walk soon.
There are 2 dogs at the place of work.
You would provide me with company both at home, on social activities and ideally support me with ideas of things to do. Some personal care will be needed with bed wash/showering when possible and toileting.
Ideally you will be kind, caring and responsible with a pro-active attitude to life. You should be hardworking, reliable, trustworthy, honest, patient, flexible, have a good sense of humour and be committed to the role. Experience with epilepsy would be beneficial. Driving License and own car is essential for which business use would be required.
A DBS would be needed for this role.
Hours will vary, to be agreed with 2 other support workers and will be discussed at interview. Earliest start 9am with the latest finish at 9pm, minimum shift of 6 hours. Monday - Friday
