A Personal Assistant is required to support a gentleman living in Louth.
The gentleman has behavioural issues and can display challenging behaviour at times. Therefore the right candidate will need to be firm but sensitive, to prevent anxiety.
Due to the gentleman’s anxiety, he has a tendency to call his carers repetitively and so your role will be to distract him through a variety of activities, watching TV, watching DVD’s, going for a walk, going to the Salvation Army on a Sunday and generally keeping him occupied.
You will also be required to support the gentleman with toileting.
Ideally you will have an NVQ in Health and social care or have relevant experience in this field.
You must hold a full, clean driving license.
You must be firm but sensitive.
2 hours on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday between 17.30-19.30.
You may be required to work Bank Holidays and may be required to cover the other carer’s holiday when requested.
