Services in Coventry

Penderels Trust works in partnership with Coventry City Council to support adults and children who receive a direct payment in the county to get the most out of their care money and to achieve their goals.  Our support includes:

  • Support when recruiting a personal assistant
  • Guidance on all aspects of being a good employer including legal obligations and responsibilities
  • Support with choosing and using a care agency
  • Help with money management and keeping accurate records
  • Payroll services
  • Managed accounts (financial support services)
  • Support planning & brokerage

Do you care for a child with special educational needs or a disability?

One Voice Parents' Group and SENDIASS (Special Educational Needs and Disability Information, Advice and Support Service) invite you to 'Ask the Experts'.  A panel of senior local authority officers from education, health and social care will be available to answer your questions.

Healthwatch Coventry - Are you interested in NHS or social care services?

Could you help champion the views of local people to work for better services?  Healthwatch Coventry are recruiting 3 individual local people and 3 representatives from local voluntary, community or faith groups to their Steering Group. 

Healthwatch Coventry have an important role working to ensure local people have a voice in how their NHS and Care Servcies are planned and delivered.  They are looking for people to help them:

  • Set work priorities;
  • Put forward the views of people who use health and social care;
  • To be influential.

Do you have good communication skills and the ability to be objective and think critically about information? Have you got the commitment to learn and to work with others?  This could be for you.

This is a volunteer role.  Out of pocket expenses are paid and training provided. The group meets 6 times a year.

Healthwatch Coventry - Have you got the passion to ensure patient and public voices are heard?

Could you be Healthwatch Coventry Chair?  Healthwatch Coventry have an important role working to ensure local people have a voice in how their NHS and Care services are delivered and planned. We are recruiting a Chair to:

  • Champion the public's interests
  • Influence decision makers
  • Chair our Steering Group meetings

The Chair will listen and communicate well, uphold their values and be impartial.

This is an unpaid role (with out of pocket expenses). You will be utilising your skills and making a difference to the lives of local patients and carers. Support is provided by the Healthwatch Chief Officer.

Peer Support Group Meetings

If you've got a question about direct payments or simply want to meet other direct payment recipients in Coventry, why not come along to our Peer Support Group Meeting?  As well as meeting up with other DP recipients, there will be team members from Penderels Trust and the local authority on hand to answer any queries you may have.  

This year's meeting dates are as follows:

Time:            All meetings run from 10 a.m. to noon.
