Penderels Trust are looking to recruit a new Senior Finance Officer to join our team at our head office in Coventry

The Role
37 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
£18,070 per annum

As a Senior Finance Officer your duties will include:

- Processing company expenditure (including Credit Card Payments)

- Reviewing and reconciling bank statements

- Being responsible for the maintenance of records relating to our Managed Accounts service and Appointeeships as well as general financial record keeping

- Undertaking duties involving monitoring and updating Managed Accounts/ Appointeeships.

- Processing payments for sundry purchases

- Processing agency invoices for payment and producing BACS payment runs for final authorisation

- Processing expenses claims for our customers and their employees

- Providing support with regards to provision and use of ‘Pre-payment cards’

- Assisting in providing Managed Account training to new and existing members of staff

- Assisting with the development of new systems for monitoring Appointeeships

- Assisting the Finance Management Team by providing support wherever necessary ensuring the smooth running of the Trust’s financial systems

- Assisting with quarterly payroll including final returns to HMRC

- Supporting with Credit Control processes

- Raising invoices

- General office work

- Petty Cash

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

- Excellent communication skills

- Experience of working in a finance or accounting environment

- Experience of using a recognised finance system

- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook)

- Ability to input and maintain accurate data records

- Previous experience of producing statistical reports & assignments

- Hold minimum GCSE Grade 'C' or equivalent in English and Maths, a qualification in bookkeeping or accounting would be desirable

- Be flexible and able to work to deadlines
