About the Role

Based at our head office in Coventry, we are looking for someone to provide excellent business support to the Penderels Trust management team, and also support to staff based at our regional offices across the UK on a maternity cover basis.

The Role

24 hours per week

Maternity Cover

Monday to Wednesday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm 

£15,507 per annum/pro rata

The Business Support Assistant will be responsible for providing a high level of administrative support to head office managers and staff in regional offices. Their main duties will include:

  • Providing a professional telephone and reception service to all callers to the office, including answering the door.
  • Providing business support to the management team working in head office, and to the staff in the regional offices (word processing, filing, ordering items/services).
  • Help to maintain the Customer Relationship Database (adding and removing staff, inputting information).
  • Receiving and recording all incoming/outgoing communications i.e. email, post, fax etc.
  • Process, check and submit Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) applications electronically.
  • Coordinating training and promotional events including the ordering and tracking of promotional materials.
  • Assist with the ordering of stationery items, ensuring that stationery cupboards are kept in order.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to produce letters and other documents to a high standard
  • Ability to input and maintain accurate data records
  • Experience in a customer service environment
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Be flexible and able to work to deadlines
  • Hold minimum GCSE Grade 'C' or equivalent in English and Maths
