I am looking for a personal assistant for my 21 year old daughter. My daughter has autism and ADHD.
She enjoys going to Chester Zoo as she has a keen interest in animals and the environment. She likes going for walks in the countryside, arts and crafts including sewing and is a creative individual.
It will take time for my daughter to get to know a new personal assistant.
The main purpose of the role will be to:
support my daughter to access social activities
encourage my daughter’s independence with support
provide all support in a personalised manner
It will take time for my daughter to get to know a new person in her life so patience will be required.
It is essential that the person I am looking for has previous experience and knowledge of supporting people with autism.

You must be able to provide high quality care and support, and possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.
You will need to be relaxed and able to communicate in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
You must have a full and clear understanding of what is meant by confidentiality.
You will need to have some flexibility to provide holiday cover.
Car owner and full valid driving license essential (business insurance required). You will be required to take my daughter in your car when attending social activities of her choice.
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Days and times will be flexible and will be mutually agreed between employer and employee. Weekend work may be required. Hours displayed above will be worked over 2/3 days per week.
