Aim: To provide holiday cover/sickness cover for my existing personal assistant. There are no regular hours available
I am a 43 year woman living with MS. I am a volunteer for my local MS branch and you will be required to support me to attend meetings once a month. As my PA you will be expected to support me with everyday living activities around my home and be willing to support with personal care as well as enabling me to access my local community. My MS does at times affect both my mobility and my sight.
My regular PA has a planned holiday at the end of September for a week that I will need cover for, plus other cover as and when needed for sickness or other holiday cover .
Support and assistance in maintaining independent skills at home
Administrative skills – filing, support with completing monitoring, correspondence etc.
Assistance with meal preparation and cooking – cleaning up afterwards.
Assistance with housework.
Hygienic cleaning of kitchen and bathroom areas.
Support with laundry and ironing.
Dressing / undressing.
Prompting with medication.
Accessing the Community
To support with appointments.
Assistance with going out shopping.
Support in other social activities when required.
To have an easy going personality.
Be honest, reliable and trustworthy.
Able to work flexibly and follow instructions.
Good sense of humour.
Understanding of confidentiality in all areas of your work.
Driver - preferred.
Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm approximately.
16 hours per week when needed.
