About the Employer

I am looking for a male personal assistant for my 7 year old son who has a rare condition with multisystem disorder.

He is a clever little boy with some physical limitations; he walks short distances and uses his wheelchair for long distances.

He is very energetic, sociable, has a good sense of humour, and enjoys playing and socialising with others.


Summary of Duties

The personal assistant will assist my son with the following;

•           personal care and daily tasks

•           participate in play activities with him, take him to the park and to recreational activities

•           look after him and promote his independence


The Person They Are Looking For

 I am looking for an energetic male personal assistant who can understand and support my son with his physical and emotional needs and help increase his independence skills and self-esteem.

Some knowledge in the field of occupational therapy and physiotherapy is an advantage but not essential.

Training will be provided by the family, the candidate will shadow the family until they are confident with the role.

Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered)’.


The Times Required

Thursday:15:15 -18:15

Saturday: 11:00 - 14:00 approximately.

Please note the hours may potentially to increase to 9hrs per week. Some flexibility with hours and days will be required. This will be discussed further at interview.
