I am looking to recruit 2 personal assistants to enable my Grandma to live independently in her own home. My Grandma has dementia.
It is important that my PA’s get to know my Grandma’s little ways in order to keep her safe and happy.
My Grandma loves to talk about the old days in Salford and Manchester where she grew up and also about her family and her late husband’s family.
Up until her dementia she was very active within the community, attending her local R C church and as a result is widely known within the district.
She likes to watch the TV especially the older episodes of the soaps, Heartbeat etc and at tea time The Chase or Tipping Point.
I am looking to recruit a personal assistant to support with the following duties:
• All aspects of personal care
• Application of creams
• Food preparation and ensure food is consumed
• Administer medication
• Maintain a clean environment including laundry and washing pots.
I am looking for someone who is:
Experienced, specifically in administering medication and trained in manual handling
Friendly and reliable
Hardworking, patient and has a good sense of humour
A good time keeper and punctual
Cooperative and compassionate
Due to the nature of the work for which you are applying, this post is subject to a satisfactory DBS disclosure (costs will be covered).
Due to the job role including administering medication this post is only open to over 18’s.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday AM (time to be agreed): 30 minutes
Monday & Thursday AM (time to be agreed): 45 minutes
Monday – Sunday afternoon (time to be agreed): 20 minutes
Monday – Sunday PM (time to be agreed): 30 minutes
