I am a young man with a learning disability, and would like some help to get out a bit more and to meet new people, I will also need some help with my weekly shop, walking my dog and someone just to talk to. I live in my own home and may require some support with everyday tasks. I require someone to help me gain confidence to access the community and activities which in the past I have been reluctant to pursue. You must be pro-active and encouraging.

Penderels Trust is a support service for individuals living independently in the community and will therefore not be the employer. You are employed by the individual concerned.
Provide activities of interest and social activities, and other social activities identified on an as and when basis.
At the moment I like my music, playing guitar and would like to attend music gigs at night, I also like comic book related stuff like DC and Marvel so I would like to attend comic con events but also need support to be pro-active and identify new activities for me.
You may be required to support me to attend music group on Thursdays by transporting me there, you will have free time before taking me home, support required when current support worker is unavailable.

You have a responsibility as an Employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately.
Report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident.
Ideally we are looking for someone who is easy going but is also encouraging and likes to talk.
No experience required but if you do have some its a bonus.
Must own a car be a confident driver as there may be a requirement to drive long distances.
Must have full driving licence with business insurance added.
Be honest, reliable and trustworthy.
Able to work flexibly and follow instructions.
Good sense of humour.
You will also need to respect privacy and have an understanding of confidentiality in all areas of your work.
Times required: flexibly arranged and will fit in with prior commitments you may have wherever possible.
Days required: as and when required as long as agreed working hours are completed in a working week unless the hours are to be rolled over for a particular event.
