To provide support within the home and in the community for a female to maintain her independence. An enhanced DBS check is required. You will join my team of existing PA’s and also provide cover for their Annual Leave as required.
Ongoing training will be sourced for successful applicants.
Working alongside another carer to provide personal care.
Help to get the person up in the morning, dressing, bathing, morning routine etc.
Preparation of breakfast.
Support with medication and gastronomy tube feeding – all training will be given.
Support to access the community.
To be flexible with hours worked.
You have a responsibility to report and record all accidents in the accident book.
To carry out any other duties or activities connected with the role.
Experience of working in a care/support setting, ideally with learning disabilities and autism.
Knowledge and understanding of matters relating to people with a learning disability/autism.
An easy going nature.
Honest, reliable and trustworthy.
Able to work flexibly and follow instructions.
To respect privacy and have an understanding of confidentiality in all areas of your work.
Car driver with full, clean license.
Flexible as part of a team rota.
With regards to the hours per week, the employer will accept specific requests from applicants for days of work, start and finish times etc.
