Support worker/Personal assistant

Location: Wragby, near Lincoln, East Rate of Pay: Paid at either £10.80 p/h or £13.00p/h depending on which child is being supported.

Hours per Week: An average of at least 20 hours p/w

About the Employer

To provide help to the parents of 3 children (aged 18, 17 and 10) who all have very complex individual needs. This may be on an individual basis or for the whole group, depending on circumstances.

Summary of Duties

To provide all child care needs for the 2 boys and girl and support as required. A sitting service may be required when the parents are out. Some support with social inclusion may be required as well.

The Person They Are Looking For

Previous experience of supporting children with a high level of needs would be an advantage; you should also have a genuine interest in supporting people.

You should be able to provide high quality care and support and should possess the motivation to develop trust and understanding within the role.

You should be hardworking, reliable, honest, patient and be committed to the role

Experience of working with children is preferred and flexibility would be an advantage to cover holiday and sickness and extra support may be required as necessary.

You will need to be able to drive, have a full clean driving licence and you will need to drive our car for any social inclusion.

A DBS check will be required for this position.

The Times Required

Usually from Monday to Friday for 2 mornings (9am to 1pm roughly) and 3 afternoons (1pm to 5pm roughly). Extra hours may be available as well as this and this may include some weekend support.
