We are seeking an experienced, reliable individual to support a 14 year old boy in the Mold area.
The young man has a visual impairment and requires assistance to access a variety of social and recreational activities.
He is a very sociable young man who enjoys trying out new activities and sports.
The role is to accompany and support the young man to access a wide variety of social and recreational activities such as events run by the RNIB.
Due to his visual impairment, the personal assistant will be required re-assure him and encourage him in social situations within the local community in order to promote his confidence.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with children would be an advantage.
They must have experience of supporting an individual with a visual impairment.
You will need to have a full driving license and use of your own vehicle and have class 1 business insurance included on your insurance.
The position is subject to reference checks and a DBS check (formally CRB)
During term time, the hours of support will be evenings and / or weekends.
During the school holidays, more flexibility may be required but this will discussed prior to the school holidays.
